People were on edge in Jesus' day and cheap messiahs were a dime a dozen. Were things more tense then than we find them today? How many cheap messiahs are offering their solutions right now? Could Jesus be offeirng us the answer right now?

I’ve been thinking this week about how many prayers may have been answered through this pandemic. Prayers for more time with family. Prayers for release from the constant pressure of our daily “rat race.” Prayers for a balance between work and family. Prayers for our environment. Prayers for travel mercies. Prayers for prayer to once again be acceptable in our child’s school. The prayer of a parent or a grandparent for a simple phone call. Prayers for a busy mom to simply be still. As we look around at our empty surroundings, may we be reminded of how much we have, how little we need—and that although it may appear that we are alone, we are not. We ARE the hands and feet of JESUS—and we are everywhere.
